1.2.1.1 Rescue and fire fighting facilities
|

1.2.1.1.1. Adequate rescue and fire fighting vehicles, equipment and personnel have been provided at all aerodromes available for use by international commercial air transport. The scale of protection available has been determined in terms of aerodrome category.
Note 1
: At aerodromes classified as HS the fire cover category may be dropped one level during non scheduled hours.
Note 2
: For heliports, special rules will apply.

1.2.1.1.2. Information about whether there is service and what the extent of that service is, is given on the relevant page for each aerodrome.

1.2.1.1.3. Scheduled or non-scheduled traffic with aeroplanes carrying passengers is not allowed to use aerodromes without Rescue and Fire Fighting Services.

1.2.1.1.4. Each individual service is categorized according to the table shown below. Temporary changes will be published by NOTAM.
